VITA 90.0 VNX+ STANDARD PRODUCTS AND SUPPORT

VITA 90.0 VNX+ STANDARD PRODUCTS AND SUPPORT

Overview

As embedded communities move to smaller platforms with higher-density processors, the requirement to build smaller systems becomes ever more critical. Recently, COTS solutions, as opposed to custom designs, have minimized the effort required to upgrade systems using common hardware, communications, and control interfaces. This approach along with conformance to MOSA standards like ANSI/VITA, SOSA, HOST, and other consortia make the goal of building smaller and faster possible. VNX+ is being designed and implemented with all these requirements in mind.

VITA 90.0

VITA 90.0 - SEARAY™ Right-Angle

The VITA 90.X family of Standards relies on the proven performance of the original VITA 74 VNX SEARAY™ connector. SEARAY™ Right-Angle connectors are available in 12.5 mm and 19 mm stack heights and a variety of pin counts to compliment Half and Full VITA 90.2 optical/RF Modules. These were chosen for their high-speed capabilities and rugged design.

VITA 90.2 - GPCC & Rugged Optics

VITA 90.2 acts as a natural extension of VITA 90.0 providing blind mate coaxial and optical connectivity.

Samtec's new GPCC contacts provide improved density and performance for 50/75 Ω applications. Additionally, Samtec’s rugged optical solutions enhance performance and simplify board layout. FireFly™ Flyover® optical engines support up to 28 Gbps per lane in x4 and x12 configurations in a miniature footprint for higher density close to the data source. FireHawk™ ruggedized optical transceivers support 10 Gbps per lane in a x4 configuration in the industry’s smallest footprint and lowest profile package.
